    About Us

    The Band

    The Band

Formed in August 2022 by the remaining 4 members of Navajo Dogs, with new frontman James “Ozzy” Lovegrove. Ozz sadly left us in August 2024, to be replaced in 2025 by the very talented Sarah Covey.

Let Apache Cats rock your event with our professional-standard sound and lighting. We use electronic drums and guitar modellers so we can be as loud or quiet as we need to be. Because of this, we also take up a lot less space than a tradional 5-piece rock band. No massive guitar stacks or drum kits here…

Use the links on the “Contact Us” tab to get in touch and book us for your next pub gig/function/party.

    Sarah Covey

    Sarah Covey

    Vocals

Sarah has been a professional singer for nearly 20 years. Starting with fronting the rock/pop cover band, Aspheric.

She then went on to train in musical theatre at the Royal academy of music in London before landing the role of understudy Killer Queen in the Queen musical ‘We will rock you’ in London’s West end. Which at times included performing with Brian May and Roger Taylor!
Other jobs include, Leia in the musical ‘Loserville’ and (randomly) singer/dancer for Loic Nottet who was the the Belgium entry of 2015’s Eurovision.

Sarah is very happy to be the new front woman for Apache Cats… (especially as she is a crazy cat lady)

     Tom Evans

    Tom Evans

    Guitar, Vocals

Tom has been playing guitar and bass professionally for over 10 years now. Besides playing in Apache Cats he is also the lead guitarist/bassist and on very rare occasions, drummer, in the popular party band Catch 22, and when he has time, likes to work on his synthwave project Endless Wires.

Tom has worked with various bands over the years, including Friday Feeling, Navajo Dogs, It’s Complicated and has recently had the pleasure of working with Brother From Another and The Zoots, as well as working with agencies such as DK Management and Ear Candy.

He has also had the pleasure of working with X-factors Shelley Smith, and recent The Voice UK finalist Naomi Johnson.

    Jonny Wallhouse

    Jonny Wallhouse

    Drums

Jon is a heavy rock and blues drummer who has been playing drums for nearly 20 years. His main influences are Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin and Def Leopard.

He began his career playing in punk rock and heavy metal original bands before moving on to rock and blues covers. Nowadays he enjoys playing fast heavy rock, slow rock ballads and swing shuffle blues.

Jon uses the Roland TD-50 electronic drum kit with full digital triggers, providing an amazingly realistic acoustic drum sound. The volume can be controlled, so the crowd can enjoy the drums without being deafened!

    Adam Sollis

    Adam Sollis

    Bass, Vocals

Proudly the only musician in the Sollis family tree, Adam starting playing guitar and joined his first band around 2003. Adam’s weapon of choice since 2008 however has been the bass guitar.

Adam’s earliest musical influence was Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters but now has an incredibly varied music taste from Sinatra to Slipknot.

     Phil Mayger

    Phil Mayger

    Guitar

Phil was inspired to pick up the guitar way back in 1994 (hard to believe he’s that old) and has been playing ever since. Musical influences include Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi), Steve Lukather (Toto), and John Mayer.

A former theatre tech and sound engineer, Phil looks after all the band’s tech stuff. He’s also been in many bands over the years, and once played with the legendary Sam Moore.
